      Connect the holder and bulb with  plug pin  and it is connected to AC mains. Note the intensity of  light.

   Experiment.2

      Repeat the experiment by connecting choke in series with the bulb.(choke is to be connected in phase line)                                     .     Note the intensity of glow of this bulb.It will be decreased.

    An AC stepdown transformer of 6 volt

    Two  PVC pipes 20 cm. length,of diferent radius.

    28 gauge insulated copper wire 100 grams.

    22gauge insulated copper wire 100 gm.  

    A diode(No.1408)

    A  L E D.

    procedure

   Wound 28 gauge wire on larger radius pipe in 250 times(primary),wound 22gauge wire on another pipe in 350 times(secondary) and it is connected to LED.

Solder diode to output of  transformer and connected  to primary coil.

Transformer is to be connected to AC mains.

Slowly secondary pipe is inserted in primary pipe.

The LED will glow.
